We are often asked why we offer several vegan omega-3 products: EPA & DHA, DHA and Vrill. The first two almost explain themselves. But why do we recommend Vrill specifically for seniors? We will explain, honestly and without exaggeration.
The difference between our products
Our DHA product contains only DHA and is aimed mainly at pregnancy and breastfeeding. EPA & DHA is our all-rounder with over 450 mg per capsule. And Vrill is our answer to krill oil: 280 mg DHA and 150 mg EPA per daily dose of two capsules, enriched with phospholipids and astaxanthin.
Why Vrill suits seniors
Many people turn to krill oil as they get older, because of the phospholipids and the antioxidant astaxanthin it contains. Vrill delivers exactly that combination, from algae instead of krill, with up to five times more astaxanthin. The foundation remains the most important part: EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function, and DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision. Those are precisely the functions you want to maintain with age.
For phospholipids and astaxanthin themselves, no health claims are authorised, so we promise nothing there. What they do: they make Vrill the complete plant-based answer to krill oil. More in Vrill is more than just vegan omega-3.
FISH-FREE
Healthy ageing starts with routine
Your omega-3 status builds over months, so what matters is not the perfect week but the daily habit: two Vrill capsules with breakfast, every day. Whether your intake is sufficient, the omega-3 index self-test will tell you, independently analysed by research institute OmegaQuant. You will find all our senior-friendly options in the seniors category.
The plant-based choice for seniors
Vrill Omega-3: DHA, EPA, phospholipids and astaxanthin, without krill and without fish.
Good for you. Good for the ocean.
Authorised health claims (EFSA) at a daily intake of 250 mg: EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function; DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision.
